Pescadero Transfer Station
Notice: Starting March 1, 2026, the hours of operation of the Pescadero Transfer Station will change to:

- Thursday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm
- Friday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm
The Pescadero Transfer Station (PTS) is a limited-volume transfer facility that provides solid waste disposal and recycling drop-off services for residents of the south coast area in San Mateo County. The site is located at 921 Bean Hollow Road, Pescadero, CA 94060, just outside downtown Pescadero.
The facility is owned by the County of San Mateo and operated by Republic Services. Accepted materials include solid waste, recyclables, organics such as food and yard waste, electronic waste, and tires.

Current Hours of Operation (through March 1, 2026)
- Friday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm
- Sunday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Starting March 1, 2026, the hours of operation will be updated to:
- Thursday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm
- Friday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm
If these new hours do not work for your schedule, you can self-haul waste to either Ox Mountain landfill, or the Shoreway Environmental Center. You can also reach out to any of the non-exclusive franchise haulers operating in the area to set up curbside collection service.
Ox Mountain landfill is open from 8am-4:30pm Monday through Saturday (closed on Sundays). Shoreway Environmental Center is open on Sundays.
