2023 Deconstruction Training Course
The Sustainability Department is offering free deconstruction trainings from The ReUse Institute, the training division of The ReUse People of America, which has trained over 50 contractors and 500 deconstruction workers throughout the country.
Deconstruction, also referred to as salvage, is a cost-effective and environmentally responsible alternative to conventional building demolition. Deconstruction is the systematic disassembly of a building in order to recover the maximum economic and environmental value of materials through reuse and recycling. No experience is needed! Participants who graduate from the program will receive certificates and will be eligible to be listed in the company’s database of available deconstruction workers.
You must live or work in San Mateo County.
